Remote w/Flexible Schedule

If you’re a Certified Systems Admin/Engineer or Architect working from a virtual office, this would be a great opportunity for you to increase your earnings up to 50%. It also makes no difference to us whether you share your time with another company.

This is a consulting position with a flexible schedule to meet your needs. We’re more interested in your credentials and experience, than we are in the amount of time you invest on our network.

You would collaborate with our Systems Administrator, who would handle the daily work.  You would also need to be available to help troubleshoot and resolve an issue that may surface on our high-availability network with full redundancies.

Requirements

  • Well versed in Linux, Virtualization, Networking, and Firewalls to audit,
    monitor and help maintain our infrastructure.
  • Oversee Multiple Data Centers, Internet Connections and Vendor Relations.
  • Intermediate/Advanced Level with Fortinet Firewalls and BGP routing.
  • Experience with HAProxy Load Balancer.
  • Quickly diagnose and resolve technical issues.
  • Cybersecurity Best Practices, Remediation, and Compliance.
  • Shared On-Call Schedule.

Capabilities

  • Monitor and tune performance of systems to ensure high availability.
  • Optimize servers and virtualization hosts.
  • Develop and maintain configuration management.
  • Manage server operating system implementations and upgrades.
  • Install and maintain server monitoring, notification, and reporting tools.
  • Install, test, and troubleshoot network equipment and cabling.
  • Provide strong, consistent service to customers.

Skills Needed

  • Experience with Linux servers in virtualized environments.
  • Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining services such as:
    Apache, MySQL, PHP, Zabbix, OSSEC, Sensu, UTM Firewall, etc.,
  • Strong grasp on configuration management tools: Ansible/Salt Stack.
  • Scripting Languages: Bash and Python scripting.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies, such as Proxmox.
  • Ability to build and monitor services on production servers.
  • Knowledge of servers and switches.
  • Experience with WordPress (plus).
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
